RENDERS FOR THE 2027 EXPO CANDIDATE IN MALAGA (SPAIN)
For the next celebration of the EXPO 2027 in Malaga, a candidacy has been presented in which we have collaborated in the elaboration of several renders as support of the documentation as far as the architectural visualisation is concerned. The architectural proposal has been developed by the Gerencia Municipal de Urbanismo de Málaga and the Parisian studio MAAPA. We have also collaborated in some aspects of the project that needed to be defined for the elaboration of the renders and 3D images.
The proposal presented consists of a built-up ring whose hierarchy responds to very democratic criteria in terms of the distribution and layout of the international pavilions, giving a very equitable hierarchical response in their position on its geometry, as can be seen in the renderings. Inside the ring an interesting wooded public space is generated, as can be seen in the 3D images, with various shaded areas, crossed from north to south by a riverbed that is incorporated into the public space and interacts with it. In turn, this interior space houses several thematic pavilions of EXPO 2027, as well as an auditorium and performance area, which is represented in the night render.
The pavilions of the participating countries for EXPO 2027 are located in the built-up ring, following the topography of the central space. This building is distributed over two floors and is closely related to the central space. Likewise, the roofs of the thematic pavilions located in the central space can be accessed from the ring, being enabled to develop activities and with landscaped roofs that maximise this green space as can be seen in the daytime renders.
Malaga’s candidacy for EXPO 2027 is also committed to a new model of living and making a sustainable city.
